Migration to Abyssinia (Ethiopia)
615 CE
The Prophet ﷺ told some Muslims to travel to Abyssinia (Ethiopia) to escape the harm. A kind Christian king called An-Najashi (Negus) welcomed them. When he heard the Quran, he cried and said: 'This and what Musa (Moses) brought come from the same lamp' (Musnad Ahmad).
